What do we do?

Rayola is a nonprofit organization located in northern Michigan dedicated to assisting children in the foster care system and any other child in need. We created this organization to help kids who have been detrimentally affected by the actions of others. They are loved and we want them to know that many people in the world want to support and help them achieve their dreams.

The most important aspect of Rayola is that we are a nonprofit. That means everything we do and accomplish is because of the donated money, time, and talents of our amazing board of directors and community friends. All donations are given entirely to advancing our mission. We work with local DHS and child service agencies to help in the most effective way possible, but we need your help to succeed!

Leo Giori

Director, Iosco/Alcona DHHS

“The members of [Rayola] have dedicated their time and talents to create beautiful and useful items for the children that we serve. They will likely never know the profound impact that their efforts have had on youth who have experienced grief, loss and trauma."

Brianna Lyons

Community Resource Coordinator, Bay & Arenac DHHS

"To most, a blanket is a common luxury taken for granted. For a child who has been removed from their home, a blanket made specifically for them can provide a great deal of comfort and assuredness that they are loved and cared for. ... Rayola provided this resource to all of our children."

Andrea Ayres

Community Resource Coordinator, Midland & Gladwin DHHS

“The quilts are beautiful, and they always include many items based on the child's age.”

Stephanie Cleeves

Services Specialist, Oscoda DHHS

“The children I work with are so excited to get new things that will belong to them. When we are taking kiddos to a brand-new home, it is a comfort to give them items that are their own.”
